What I have been reading this year
I read mostly on the train, which means I read in fifteen-minute pieces. That shapes what I choose: essays and short chapters work, dense novels do not.
Highlights so far
A collection of essays about walking in cities. A history of coffee that turned out to be mostly a history of trade. A book about the science of sleep that convinced me to stop looking at my phone in bed. Two travel memoirs, one excellent and one I abandoned.

Something about photography, ideally written by a photographer rather than a critic. Recommendations welcome.
